Klein ISD Immunization Requirements

Immunization Resources:
Texas Department of State Health Services

6th and 7th grade parents:
The State of Texas requires all students entering the seventh grade to have the following immunization. You should check with your physician to make sure your child’s immunizations are up to date. YOUR CHILD MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING IMMUNIZATIONS ON FILE IN THE CLINIC BEFORE THEY CAN BEGIN CLASSES.
1. Meningococcal Vaccine
2. Tdap: This immunization replaces the TD (tetanus booster). The immunization will be required if it has been more than 5 years since your child's last immunization that contained tetanus.

7th grade parents:
State mandated immunizations are required prior to the start of school. If you are unable to bring them to T-Wolf Trek, you can scan and email them to the nurse, fax them (please contact the nurse to expect them) or deliver them to the clinic.
Those students who present their immunizations on the first day of school will need to go to the gymnasium (NOT the clinic) with their shot record. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse.

8th grade parents:
If your child is transferring from a school outside of Texas or is being retained in the 8th grade, the above immunizations are also required before beginning school. Students transferring from another Texas school should have already received the State required immunizations.
